Operations Coordinator

Starting Mid October, 2024.

Description:

Reporting to the Operations Lead, the Operations Coordinator (OC) plays a critical role in supporting participants in achieving their goals. The OC coordinates with participants, support workers, and stakeholders to deliver person-centered, culturally competent, and recovery-focused services. This role acts as the primary link between the service delivery team and the Operations Lead.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop NDIS service agreements and schedule supports in line with participants’ funding and needs.
  • Communicate effectively with participants and stakeholders to identify goals and support needs.
  • Provide relevant information to promote participant choice and control.
  • Coach and guide teams to ensure dignified, community-based support.
  • Adhere to privacy and data recording requirements.
  • Manage and maintain accurate records and client information.
  • Stay informed on sector developments and internal service pathways.
  • Collaborate with teams to identify and address service barriers.
  • Produce performance reports to monitor progress and identify challenges.
  • Foster a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
  • Prepare and submit reports as required.
  • Liaise with Support Coordinators to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Attend industry events to stay updated and build relationships.
  • Draft service plans and monitor client progress.

Pre-Requisites:

  • Diploma in Community Services or a related field or equivalent.
  • NDIS worker screening check or willingness to apply.
  • COVID-19 Vaccination Certificate.
  • Smartphone for app use.
  • Current first aid/CPR certificate or willingness to attain.
  • WA Class C Driver’s License and fully insured vehicle.
  • Experience in individualised assessments and procedural change.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation abilities.
  • Experience in coordinating services within NDIS plans or similar.
  • Excellent critical thinking, time management, and organisational skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and basic computer programs.
  • Ability to build rapport with stakeholders and work collaboratively.
  • Problem-solving and project management capabilities.
  • Experience in training staff on organizational and NDIS requirements
